Karly A. Cochran, PhD

Dr. Karly A. Cochran (she/her) is an assistant professor of psychology in the Department of Psychology and Sociology at the University of North Alabama. She is an experimental psychologist, specializing in social-health and quantitative methods. In addition to teaching, she mentors undergraduate student research projects and serves as co-investigator for the UNA STEM Scholars Program. Her related research focuses on examining the role of mentorship in students’ sense of belonging and academic success. She holds a PhD in Psychological Science from Kent State University and a master’s in Experimental Psychology from Appalachian State University.
